Doner Kebab Meat
Leftover homemade doner or even store-bought works perfectly. Crisp it in the skillet before adding the potatoes for extra texture.
Potatoes
Use seasoned doner-style breakfast potatoes or leftover roasted potatoes.
Cheese (optional)
Mozzarella melts beautifully, while cheddar adds a sharper flavor. Feta also works well for a Mediterranean twist.
Garlic Sauce
A drizzle of doner kebab garlic sauce ties all the flavors together.
Recommended Equipment
A sturdy, non-stick skillet is something you can use multiple times daily for making quick meals.
Culinary squeeze bottles, OXO brand or similar, are useful for dispensing the kebab sauces over the dish. And a serrated knife for preparing vegetables will come in handy in all of your cooking and meal prep.

STEP 1 — Melt Butter and Fry Potatoes
In a skillet, over medium heat, melt butter. Place the previously cooked, diced potatoes or cooked hash brown potatoes in the skillet. Stir fry the potatoes for a minute or two.

STEP 2 — Add Doner Meat and Tomatoes
Add the cooked and chopped doner kebab pieces and the diced tomato. Continue to stir-fry for a few minutes.

STEP 3 — Add Eggs
When the ingredients have heated through, make four wells in the mix with a spoon. Crack an egg into each well.

Step 4 – Cook Eggs
Allow the eggs to cook for about six minutes. Then, add a lid to trap the heat and continue to cook, over medium-low heat until the eggs have cooked. Be mindful of the temperature, as you don’t want to burn the bottoms of the potatoes.

STEP 5 — Garnish
Once the eggs are cooked to your preferred doneness, remove the lid.

Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro or parsley and thinly sliced red onion. Use a culinary squeeze bottle to make lines of doner kebab sauce over the dish. Add some doner kebab red sauce or sriracha, if desired.

Tips for the Best Breakfast Skillet
- Start with fully cooked potatoes for crispier edges.
- Brown the doner meat before adding the eggs.

- Serve immediately while everything is hot and crispy.
- Add fresh herbs just before serving.
