Ingredients in Marinated Air Fryer Chicken Wings

- Chicken Wings — Feel free to use split wings or just wings. This recipe also works for chicken drumsticks. Although, you may need to add more time to cook chicken drumsticks (always check with food thermometer inserted into the thickest part of meat to ensure the chicken is cooked to a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C)).
- Marinade — We use our doner kebab sauce recipe to marinate the chicken wings (see below).

Ingredients in Doner Kebab Sauce

- Dahi — or homemade Instant Pot yogurt. We love the tang of dahi, but you can use any plain yogurt. *You can sub sour cream instead if you prefer.
- Labneh — or Greek yogurt. We love labneh for it’s texture and flavor similar to cream cheese. You can also make a batch of Instant Pot homemade thick and creamy yogurt and use instead of labneh. *Although you’ll need to plan ahead for this as it takes eight hours. The Instant Pot does most of the work for you and the large batch of homemade yogurt you’ll be able to use all week in recipes, including breakfasts, makes it worth it!
- Garlic — one clove, minced is a good amount for this recipe. You can add more or less to your preference or omit if you prefer.
- Hot Sauce — we added in some Frank’s red hot sauce because it is an easy way to add some heat, just a few shakes is all it takes.
- Hot Sauce — we also happened to have green Tabasco sauce, and since we love it so much, we added a few shakes of it.
- Italian Seasoning — add in some dry Italian seasoning blend.
- Doner Kebab Spice Blend (Kebabkrydda) — If you don’t have doner kebab spice, you can sub all purpose spice blend, or you can use taco seasoning.
- Sweet Chili Sauce — or sambal oelek
- Himalayan Salt — ground, enhances the flavors in this sauce.
- Pepper — use fresh ground black pepper or white pepper.
How To Make Marinated Air Fryer Chicken Wings

STEP 1: Place Marinade Ingredients in Bowl
Pour all marinade ingredients into a small size mixing bowl and mix the ingredients well. Place the chicken wings into a large size mixing bowl and pour on the marinade (or the ready-made kebabsås).

STEP 2: Mix Well
Mix the chicken and marinade sauce well until all the chicken pieces are evenly coated. Place in the fridge to marinate for a minimum of 15 minutes and ideally for at least two hours and up to overnight.

STEP 3: Add Chicken Wings To Marinade & Marinate
Once the chicken wings have marinated for your desired time, pour them into your Air Fryer basket. Do not overfill. There should only be two layers of chicken. If you add too much chicken the pieces will not fry evenly.

STEP 4: Air Fry Chicken Wings First Time
Place the basket in the Air Fryer and set the temperature to 325°F and the timer to 10 minutes.

STEP 5: Turn The Wings Over
When the 10 minutes are up, carefully remove the basket from the Air Fryer. Using heat safe tongs, turn over all of the chicken pieces.

STEP 6: Air Fry Chicken Wings Second Time
Place the basket back in the Air Fryer and set the timer to 10 minutes again.
When the timer has reached zero, carefully remove the basket and check the internal temperature of the thickest chicken pieces using a .
The internal temperature should read at least 165°F (74°C) for safe cooking temperature of chicken.
