Why You’ll Love Salmon For Dinner

Salmon fillets and salmon steaks are especially easy to prepare since they are cut into serving sized portions.

All you need to do is place them in an oven safe baking dish with some butter, garlic and lemon, or another easy sauce or glaze like maple syrup and a little soy with garlic and ginger.

It really only takes a minute or two to prepare the sauce or glaze. Just pour it over the salmon and let it bake until the salmon has reached a safe internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) and flakes easily.

You can keep it simple as in our IKEA salmon fillets or go all out as in New Orleans Salmon with Shrimp. Or try something in between like Maple Glazed Salmon.

After all, the three menu ideas are all super easy to make. We love to rotate through them and prepare a different salmon dinner each time.

Everyone in our family loves salmon for dinner, even our youngest.

Salmon is nutritious and adds a touch of elegance to an easy weeknight or weekend meal at home.

Salmon New Orleans With Shrimp

Salmon New Orleans With Shrimp is easy to prepare, with a quick sauté in the pan and an amazing Cajun Butter Sauce.

We recommend preparing Creamy Lobster Mashed Potatoes, but also with the Cajun Butter Sauce. We love to pair Salmon New Orleans with the creamy lobster mash and garlic green beans.

You can swap the mashed potatoes for a pasta side dish, like Lobster Mac and Cheese or Crab Alfredo Linguini. Those are both amazing sides as well!

Maple Glazed Salmon

Our recipe for maple glazed salmon is inspired by Red Lobster’s similar dish, although instead of cherries we use lingonberry jam.

For a tasty variation, you can also do a simple maple syrup glaze with a little soy sauce, freshly grated ginger and garlic. And, maybe some hot pepper flakes if you like them!

You can serve with lobster mashed potatoes or a basic orzo recipe that you can dress up with some butter and lemon, garlic, parmesan and parsley.

This maple glazed salmon would also pair well with a Caesar salad or house salad.
